Summary/Abstract: Faith is part of the beauty in the human being and an instrument reception of divine beauty. In the Church, faith is expressed il all forms of beauty: adornment, music, iconography, architecture, vestments and vessels because they envision the call to the highest beauty which is God Himself. Theology itself is beautiful, with its content and expression uniquely revealed in Jesus Christ. Moreover, it is expressed in all art forms present in the church. The Orthodox hymnography and hymnody include a dogmatic treasure, iconography is often described as Dogmatics in images, and the architecture of the church was building is a pale image of the created the cosmos. Expressed in music, theology is more easily assimilated by the people less familiar with its terminology and content. This article offers a glimpse on the history, meaning and importance of music in the life of the Romanian Orthodox faith in the present context.
