IDEF models for reengineering in the high-technology enterprises

Summary/Abstract: The adapting of IDEF models at reengineering in high-technology enterprises has a vital significance for diagnostics and documentation of the economic processes. Alternative versions (scenarios) for their optimization are created this way. The IDEF methodology uses approbation in several directions. It is used for identifying the assets of the organization, cartographing (diagram­mming) the course of economic processes and taking effective decisions about reengineering. A substantial peculiarity in this case is that the IDEF models make diagno­stics of the processes in the orga­nization, which is viewed as an open system, i.e. commensurable with its incoming-outgoing parameters. They are suitable means for establishment the interrelation between the separate processes and selection of a version for their radical change. IDEF models present them by means of an information flow, while the separate assets are positioned according to the nature of their function. Ultimately the modeling of the economic processes at reengineering is one of the basic approaches for analysis of the corporative activity. Under the conditions of high-technology pro­duction, the IDEF models eliminate the negative trends, optimize the costs and time for realization of the basic processes. One of the possibilities along these lines is associated with the application of IDEF0 и IDEF3.
