Croatian Version of the SF-36 Questionnaire

Summary/Abstract: SF-36 questionnaire is a widely used tool for the assessment of Health Related Quality of Life-HRQOL. Besides the source English versions (in British and American standards) which differ in some regard, the attempts exist to create and use in the practice the national language mutations of this tool. On the Department Social and Clinical Pharmacology, Chair of Public and Social Health of the Faculty of Health and Social Studies the Croatian language mutation of SF-36 Questionnaire has been developed, based on the English standard version in its British appearance. This is the result of our cooperation with prim. Mr. Sc. Vesna Śendula-jengić M.D., director of the Clinical Psychiatric Centre Rab, Rab, Croatia, and EMA – services Ltd.,(European Medical Agency-services) our traditional partner in biomedical research. This Croatian language version of SF-36 Questionnaire we submit to broad use and possible discussion to broader scientific and research public. While publishing this paper we are starting the pilot study using this tool in Croatian , in cooperation with Police Academy, Zagreb, Hrvatska and with the police of Primorsko-gotranska županija ( province) of the Republic of Croatia.
