Summary/Abstract: With the collapse of the communist bloc in the 1990s, a whole literature was born about East-West relations and how Eastern Europe was seen in the West. Set in modern-day London, the novel Iron Curtain. A Love Story by Vesna Goldsworthy depicts a city colonised in reverse, by immigrants from the East outnumbering the locals. The book was published in Romania by Humanitas in 2022.
