Permanent and Transitory – The Case of the Abstract Noun «Hibérnation»

Summary/Abstract: This article focuses on describing the special status of the abstract noun “hibernation” that seems to have a special linguistic behavior, as a state abstract noun and as a quality abstract noun at the same time. We are arguing that the hibernation, even if it is a quality of certain species, its “state” value seems more representative for the discourse than its “quality” one.
