The importance of learning to play the piano for the comprehensive development of a child

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to present the importance of learning to play the piano for the comprehensive development of a child in elementary education. The first part of the article analyzes thecore curriculum of preschool education and the sources of didactic and educational work under‑taken in kindergarten.In the next part of the publication, based on the analysis of the literature, possible tasks in thefield of learning to play the piano within individual educational areas are presented. The article iscomplemented by a free statement by a kindergarten teacher, where children have the opportunityto participate in learning to play the piano, and by a pedagogical supervisor in kindergartens.
