Summary/Abstract: The article is of a theoretical and empirical nature. It addresses issues concerning the professional development conditions of people active in the labour market, taking into account the division into generations: Baby Boomers, X, Y, Z. Based on the literature, the individual factors influencing the professional development processes are presented. The results of qualitative research conducted at the end of 2022, which aimed to determine the opinions of representatives of generations active in the labour market on the conditions of their professional development were also included. For research purposes, the diagnostic survey method and the interview technique by disposition were used. The information obtained indicates that subjectrelated conditions turned out to be the most significant, including economical (all generations), technical (generations of Y, Z), and social (all generations).
