The gifted student in the environment and the community

Summary/Abstract: The article attempts to determine how the actions taken by the environment and the community in support of the gifted student are evaluated by the students surveyed. The article consists of four parts. The first identifies how giftedness is defined; the second lists and describes the functions that the environment assumes towards the student’s giftedness. In the third part, a qualitative analysis of the students’ free statements was carried out. This is followed by the formulation of conclusions.
