Summary/Abstract: Nonchalant Approaches, Charming Infidelities The 2007 edition of Berliner Theatertreffen presented mainly classical plays in new stage visions: works by Henry Purcell and Christopher Marlowe, Molière and Goether, Shakespeare, Bruckner staged by directors who have chosen a contemporary approach, often «rewriting» the text itself. With a keen eye for significant theatrical features and a good knowledge of the classical texts and of modern theater, Șahighian points out the main elements that highlight outstanding productions from the German language region of Europe – Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
