Summary/Abstract: This article examines the use of laces in synagogal textiles from Bohemia and Moravia, dating from the 16th to the 19th centuries. The author analyzes the types, motifs, techniques, and origins of the laces, as well as their relation to the embroidery and appliqué decorations of the curtains and Torah mantles. The article argues that the laces on synagogal textiles have a specific character that reflects the Jewish artistic culture and environment of their production. The article also highlights the value of the dating of these textiles, which provides reliable comparative material for the study of lace-making history in Bohemia.
