Summary/Abstract: The woman in the course of civilization, the woman as a participant in the creation of society, the woman as a complex phenomenon, is an inexhaustible topic in all branches of science. This paper gives notes about women through segments of Serbian medieval law. The idea is to provide an image of the place and importance of the position of women through this part of the creation and organization of society (first through the legislation of the Serbian medieval state, and afterwards in a wider context as well).
