Summary/Abstract: In the Holocaust period the painter Friedl Dicker-Brandeis acted as children’s art teacher in the Terezin concentration camp-ghetto. In the end the Nazis murdered her together with most of her Jewish pupils. The article was written on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of her birth. At the same time the State Jewish Museum also prepared a special exhibition to commemorate the anniversary.
