Summary/Abstract: The text is about the drama The death is not a bicycle (to be stolen from you) written by Biljana Srbljanović, which mostly tells a story about her father, who was part of the generation that she fought against for many years. The death is not a bicycle (to be stolen from you) for the author is (according to her confession), as well as for her hero Nadežda, the last ‘fight’ with long¬time rival, and the last outcome of multiannual intolerance to what she was opposed to since she was a little girl. Inspired by a personal tragedy, this drama, beside that, represents a criticism of state institutions, army, church, disbanded young generations. Drama is about one man, actually, not only about him, but about every single one of us. With this piece, as she said, Biljana Srbljano¬vić is saying goodbye forever to her most faithful reader-viewer, to her father.
