Summary/Abstract: The paper discusses the relationship of digital games to cultural heritage, using the example of fighting games (Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat) that represent different martial arts, i.e. the question is raised whether these games can be considered a representation of intangible cultural heritage, even though they have not been recognized as such until now . Based on the analysis of data on games (and from games) and martial arts that have been entered on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, it can be concluded that they represent martial arts to the same, or even greater extent, than the genres of representation. intangible cultural heritage that are standardly applied in the process of its preservation. These games preserve not only the external form, but also the spirit of realistic martial arts, while making them accessible to a much wider audience than was ever possible before.
