Summary/Abstract: In this analysis, the author argues that Professor Đozo composed tafsir bi-aldiraya relying on his own insights, which he almost exclusively derived through a rational approach without referencing relevant sources of exegesis (tafsir). Rarely did he interpret certain verses with the Hadiths of Allah’s Messenger Muhammad, p.b.u.h., and the opinions of his companions and successors. The author asserts that this commentator, he only mufassir (exegete) in the latter half of the 20th century who wrote in the then-Serbo-Croatian language, violated the ijma’ fi al tafsir (consensus in interpreting the Qur’an). Special emphasis is on the rejection of certain teachings of the Ahl as-Sunnah wa’l-Jama’ah and the influence of certain contemporary modernistic ideologies on this mufassir.
