Summary/Abstract: The legendary essay-writer, Béla Hamvas’s career began in the 30ies and finished soon after the II. World War (after the communists took control in 1948 in Hungary). He did not have any chances to publish his writings all in his life. He worked as a storey-assistant, later librarian. These two essays are still unpublished. There is a block of writings devoted to Béla Hamvas’s work in Kortárs; besides his two essays there is an interview with Katalin Kemény, wife and workmate; Antal Dúl, editor of the work and a critic on Pál Darabos’s monograph by István Szántó F.
