Summary/Abstract: This article is devoted to the legal nature of criminally operating a license plate issued to another motor vehicle or a plate not issued by the appropriate authorities. The presentation examines the issue of the origin and historical development of the targeted criminal offense from the special part of the Criminal Code. A detailed analysis of the signs regarding the objective and subjective side is made, emphasizing several practical problems that arise in connection with the application of the discussed criminal composition
