Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper is to formulate the special educational needs of the gifted child in preschool education, which includes the creation and verification of a proposed set of twelve activities with the aim of saturating some of the special educational needs of gifted children in preschool education. The activities have been developed on the basis of knowledge and evidence from the field of giftedness, inclusion, personality and behavioural characteristics of the gifted preschool child. The activities are divided into four thematic units (divergent thinking activities, practical and technical activities, emotion-focused activities and storytelling activities) with three experiential activities in each unit. The proposed activities have been validated with agroup of nine preschool children in a private kindergarten in Košice, therefore, in the conclusion of the paper we formulate the identified recommendations for special education practice.
