Summary/Abstract: THE PROLOG LIFE OF ST PETKA OF TĂRNOVO IN CYRILLIC MANUSCRIPTS IN POLAND ELENA TOMOVA (SOFIA) (Summary) The topic of the article is related to the literary history of the Prolog Life of St. Paraskeve of Epibatai (Petka of Tărnovo) in Cyrillic manuscripts stored in Polish libraries and archives (Warsaw, Cracow, Ljublin, etc.). The author makes a textual analysis of eight transcripts of the Life as included in the saint’s Office (preserved in seven Menaia from the 16th and 17th centuries and in a Verse Prolog from the 17th century). The copies of this hagiographic piece are defined as important source material in the study of the hagiographical complex of the well-known Balkan recluse.
