Summary/Abstract: Studion Monastery or the Monastery of the Studites- along with other churches such as St. Sophia Cathedral and Vlaherne Church - is one of the most famous churches that Constantinople, the great capital of the Byzantine Empire, has raised. From a historical point of view, the monastery is still the most important in the city. Studion is a name known throughout the Christian world. Although Studion Monastery has been abandoned for more than half a millennium, its rules and worship have been taken as a model by the monks of Mount Athos, as well as many other Orthodox monasteries around the world.
