Summary/Abstract: The preschool stage is the period of the fastest development in children. This is the time of the initial formation of the physical and mental qualities that a person needs in life, as well as their initial socialization. This research is aimed at revealing the concept of aesthetics in the education of preschool children through decorating the exterior. The object of the study is the process of aesthetic education of preschool children. The subject is the exterior as a means of aesthetic education of preschool children. The purpose of the training is to develop the artistic exterior of the kindergarten, aimed at the tasks of aesthetic education in preschool children, by: • defining the essence of the concept of "aesthetic education" and its role in the development of preschool children; • tracing the goals, tasks, forms and methods of aesthetics in education; • characterizing the role of the environment for aesthetic development in the personal development of children; • comparing trends in Bulgarian and foreign design practice in the design of exteriors for kindergartens, analyzing some specific projects; • describing the main principles of developing projects for decorating facades in kindergartens. To achieve the goal it is necessary to pay special attention to the color scheme of exteriors and interiors, taking into account the peculiarities of children's ergonomics and perception. Natural materials should be used that create a sense of safety and security. When designing kindergartens, it is necessary for the building to organically fit into the existing landscape (in the kindergarten there should be an "openness" to nature). It is recommended that open and semi-open yards be designed as play areas. Special attention has been paid to the main paths in the garden, which are paved or covered with tiles. The sports area can be covered with a a custom-made path of rounded pebbles as this paving material is excellent prevention against flat feet in children.
