Summary/Abstract: In the early 1930s, the Western Bieszczady Mountains were yet to become a popular destination for skiing. However, thanks to the efforts of tourist and skiing organisations, attempts were made to promote the area as an attractive place for skiing tourists. This was done through cooperation with the railway and offers of special discounts for skiers who were members of organisations such as the Polish Ski Association (Polski Związek Narciarski), as well as the organisation of skiing holidays and stays.
