Summary/Abstract: In this paper – based on the definition of artificial intelligence –, we explore the possibilities of creating pedagogically rational agents in the process of planning (at the level of lesson planning) as part of general pedagogical knowledge. We present the opportunities and challenges of AI in the process of pedagogical planning and reflect on the possibilities of a paradigm shift and the new roles and competencies that arise from it. The use of AI in planning will be presented along two possible paths (generative path – content creation; predictive path – algorithm-supported constructive alignment). In our approach, we focus primarily on supporting the development of planning competence.
