Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to analyzing and interpreting the plot and ideology in Wincenty Kosiakiewicz’s novel titled Władek, which was published in 1894. The work is regarded as an example of an adolescent novel. Its plot is based on the joys and sorrow of a young boy’s adolescence. The eponymous hero, a tender-hearted teenager, is, for instance, fascinated with theatre and experiences his first love. Composing the plot of the novel, Kosiakiewicz used such elements of a bourgeois outlook as the cult of family values.
