Summary/Abstract: In recent decades, studies of the Cucuteni-Tripollye culture have acquired a more multifaceted character, while it became possible to use the potential of a number of European archaeological schools to study the phenomenon of that culture. Certain aspects of the development of that culture remain debatable. The author presents for discussion a number of issues related to the further aspects of its periodization, the analysis of ceramic assemblage, the interpretation of its fine art monuments, and social reconstructions.
