Summary/Abstract: The article presents the legal provisions of international, EU and national law regarding intellectual property in music and choreography. It pays attention to the legal regulations applicable to selected social media platforms. Examples from music, sounds and choreography on social media are presented. It is noted that the intellectual property law created for classical dance forms is not up to date with the rapid development of new dance forms on social media. The rules for using music, including on social media platforms, have been defined much more precisely: they are not only discussed in legal acts, but also appropriate information is provided directly by the administrators.
