Adaptation of ICT by small and medium enterprises in Albania. A literature review and secondary data analysis

Summary/Abstract: Through a literature review this paper aims at analyzing the actual state of progress in the adoption of information and communication technology (ICT) from Albanian small and medium-sized enterprises in their daily business operations. How SMEs optimise their business processes through the opportunities arising from ICT-enabled E-Business and E-Government services. Through a review process of the available literature, this article attempts to be able to identify the level and patterns of ICT adoption from Albanian SMEs, focusing especially on the adaption of E-Government services. By analysing the current state of ICT adaption this paper will try to point out measures which would help to increase the current usage and adaption rate and propose recommendations for further research work.
