Summary/Abstract: Mobile phone has become an indispensable tool for us. Nowadays most of us prefer to forget their wallet at home rather than their mobile phone. Why don’t use our mobile phone as a payment tool? This study will analyze mobile payment industry in Albania. The company used for the case study is M-PAY Albania. Integration between MNOs, Banks, Merchant and Customers is the key to success of mobile payments. The business model proposed is the key to have win-win cooperation with all stockholders taking part on this process in order to create a framework for revenue sharing. In order to have a wide range of penetration into the market the services used for mobile payments are the traditional ones SMS and USSD. Using these standard services everyone can use its mobile for mobile payment no meter of its mobile phone type, operating system and internet availability. In order to have success, mobile payment service is projected to be simple, easy to use and fast. In order to reach a wide range penetration into the market the mobile payment service has to offer to the customer: security, privacy and trust in order to keep its data safe. The cost of mobile payments should be the same or less than the cost offered from other channels for the same service in order to make customers actively use it. In this paper we present an overview of mobile technology and identify the issues coming from mobile payment services.
