Summary/Abstract: The series “Wonders of Poland: the Beauty of Nature, Human Achievements, Historical Art and Architecture” was published in the inter–war period by Rudolf Wegner’s Wydawnictwo Polskie (the Polish Printing House) in Poznań. The publication was notable for its aesthetic design and the attractive presentation of its contents, appealing to Polish patriotism and promoting Poland among foreigners. Reprints and revised editions of individual volumes of this series were issued in Poznań until the outbreak of World War II. Further editions were published for the Polish community abroad, by the Polish armed forces in Jerusalem and in London in the ’50s. The “Wonders of Poland” has regained popularity during the period of the 3rd Republic of Poland (after 1990) when several publishers have independently prepared reprints of this series.
