FATHER AS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT ROLE MODELS IN CHILD UPBRINGING – FAMILIOLOGICAL CONSIDERATIONS ON THE BASIS OF SELECTED LITERATURE ON THE SUBJECT

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to present the role of the father in child education. The theoretical reflection covers the characteristics of family upbringing, presents the problem of the new fatherhood and shows the father as one of the most important role models in child upbringing. On the basis of scientific studies, the most important features of a family’s educational environment were indicated, as well as the specificity of the role of the father in raising a child.Reflection on the addressed issues shows that the presence of the father turns out to be indispensable in the process of shaping a young person, in the process of a child’s growth into the world of values and the world of social life. The father turns out to be the child’s greatest authority.
