Summary/Abstract: The article is a research attempt to find the concept of education in the works of Jan Twardowski. The starting point is the selected works of the poet (O maluchach, Litania do uśmiechu, Spotkania), the reference is the philosophical concepts of education in three dimensions: religious, anthropological-ethical and social, while the background is classic human anthropology, in which his body, intellectual and spiritual spheres are distinguished. The aim, also in the context of biographical threads, is to show the legitimacy of the research undertaken and to sketch the basic accents of the concept of education in a specific hermeneutic optics. These, in turn, oscillate around such concepts as maturity, hope, relationship and truth, while axiological connotations allow us to refer to the limits of theology on the level of the philosophy of dialogue, as well as pedagogy and psychology in the field of emotions and development. The authors assume that Twardowski was an educator conscious of his tasks for most of his life, and that the essential elements of this reflection can be found, among others, in his literary works.
