Mediation as an institute of objective law

Summary/Abstract: The latest amendment and supplement to the Mediation Act of State Gazette No.11 of 2 February 2023 introduces compulsory judicial mediation in certain types of cases and in certain cases. The main reason for this is the problem with the workload of the courts. The wider application of mediation in Bulgaria raises a number of questions about the place of this relatively new legal institute in our national legal system.On the basis of the normative analysis conclusions and summaries about the current legal framework and its application are made, current trends in modern legislation are brought out.
