Summary/Abstract: The article argues that, within the context of humanistic education, thinking about disinformation, manipulation, and propaganda is a very important challenge. The difficulty in distinguishing information and opinion can have negative consequences for civic and democratic attitudes. Instead of collecting and analysing the facts that make up a given problem and verifying their credibility, modern man is more willing to use ready-made and emotional assessments that impose the only correct meaning. This is facilitated by the expansion of social media and the ease with which one can comment on any topic. Therefore, the article presents several ways educational establishments can respond to this problem: it recommends the use of didactic ideas that have long been present in Polish didactics, as well as new ones, consisting of the use of TV series or podcasts in Polish language lessons. It is about saving the ability to interpret reality from annihilation.
