Summary/Abstract: The study reflects on the work of contemporary Czech children’s literature writer, belonging to theyounger middle generation, Jana Šrámková. It focuses especially on her latest prose Fánek hvězdoplavec. The study tries to identify characteristic features of the author’s poetics, the key motifs ofher works and the relationship to the child reader. All this is situated within the context of author´swork for adults.
