Le Guin's Earthsea Trilogy, the novels A Wizard of Earthsea, The Tombs of Atuan and The Farthest Shore, as a distinctive, symbolic testimony of human fragility and strength. It wonders whether the works were written for young people or for adults. On the basis of the analysis, it concludes that the text can be regarded as a modern parable.
