Summary/Abstract: The paper describes the evaluation of the syntactic subsystem in bilingual and multilingual children. It provides a brief overview of tools designed to assess the syntactic competence in Polish-speaking children, and specifies the syntactic elements that that tools take into account. Subsequently, the author introduces a tool she has elaborated in order to study the syntactic subsystem development in bilingual and multilingual children aged 6-9. The criteria for selecting verbs for the procedure as well as the research method are discussed. Finally, the advantages and disadvantages of the designed procedure are presented, as well as the ways it could prove useful in studying selected phenomena of syntactic subsystem development in children.
