Summary/Abstract: The article is aimed at analysing the theoretical foundations for engaging financial resources in designing and developing contemporary military affairs. According to American experts, this fundamental action focuses on three areas namely technology, organisation and doctrine, being supported by a country/organisation economic and financial power as well as its research and development sector. The above-mentioned domains interact, as military organisations have to adapt to be able to handle the changes in technology and geopolitical environment. In this context, the military activity, which is characterised by dynamism, complexity and interdependence, increasingly relies on strategic management.
