Summary/Abstract: Throughout history, Turkish folk culture has continued to keep the nature cult of the geography in which it lives alive in its beliefs. Water and trees, which are important elements of the nature cult, maintained their sanctity. The close relationship of village life with nature is reflected in beliefs. Every ritual performed in relation to nature is important for the preservation and transfer of social memory. Village theatrical plays, which are a type of theater performed in villages at certain times of the year, during holidays and weddings; It occurs as a part of the villager's life. In the study, the rituals performed by the Alevi community in Erzincan Mertekli Village during the Month of Hızır were identified and tried to be conveyed.
