Summary/Abstract: Elena Alistar was a well-known doctor, second lieutenant on the front, military doctor, pedagogue, politician, animator of cultural life in Bessarabia. His activity remained in the memory of the Bessarabians, as extremely important for the cultivation of national consciousness and for the formation of a coherent identity of the Moldavian Romanians. She was the only female deputy in the Council of the Country.
