EUGEN TODORAN – A PROMINENT PERSONALITY IN THE CULTURAL AND ACADEMIC SPACE OF BANAT

Summary/Abstract: The professor Eugen Todoran is a distinct personality in the Romanian culture. By the time he irretrievably reached in the Banatic cultural space he passes through a series of attempts, given both to the familial climate, as, mostly, to the social-political climate of thosetimes.He contributes with studies and scientific researches to diverse publications, manifesting his creating vocation, that of literary critic. Some of the ideas presented in these studies, are to be found as developed in vast researches, effected in author volumes and academic courses.Eugen Todoran was a member of the elite group that created the philological academicteaching in the Banatic cultural space, creating an authentic school of literary exegesis.
