Summary/Abstract: In the 21st century, metal music appears to be a fully global phenomenon. One of the proofs ofthis is the activity of the Ukrainian band Jinjer, currently boldly competing with the biggest starsof the European and American scene. This is due to the band’s diverse, difficult to classify, but atthe same time universal musical style. Jinjer’s music uses various means and metal conventions, but they do not put them together in a collage; they rather strive for synergy. At the same time,in recent years, threads related to social isolation, lyricism and national references have cometo the fore in the band’s music. The aim of the article is to outline the stylistic syndrome in thecontext of extreme metal subgenres.
