Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is to remind us of the activity of two famous engineers and colleagues, Gianni Caproni and Henry Coand`, and of some of the coincidences and similarities between the two regarding their activity in the field of aeronautics. They met during a stay in Belgium, for a specialisation in electrical engineering, where they discovered that they shared a mutual interest in aerodynamics. After these studies, they embarked on different paths, but continued to stay in touch, keeping each other up-to-date regarding the latest developments in the field. To conclude, we should mention what we believe to be the most important aspect regarding the two: they are both pioneers of jet-propelled airplanes.
