Summary/Abstract: Violence is expanding in all spheres, but with the development of society it also acquires new characteristics that indicate a disturbed system of values in postmodern society. In postmodern society, penal policy is oriented towards pragmatic goals of social control, which includes risk management with as few costs as possible. Violence and crime are phenomena that are most common in symbiosis. The Criminal Code has precisely defined guidelines and sanctions for all those who violate legal norms in society. However, sometimes these legal reactions to violence and crime in the opinion of the public are mild and do not have an adequate impact when it comes to the resocialization of criminals and convicted persons, which is often reflected in their inadequate reintegration into society and recidivism.
