Summary/Abstract: This study presents specific data from 1,532 individual, group, and team supervisions conducted over a period of 12 months, involving 829 professionals from supporting professions in the territory of Bulgaria. The analysis includes data from supervisions conducted among social workers, pedagogues, psychologists, psychiatrists, occupational therapists, and social assistants. Simultaneously, the paper provides a review of theoretical approaches and their reflection in practice. It also presents the historical progression of supervision in assisting professions, and raises questions regarding the supervisor’s commitments concerning their own development and stimulating the development of supporting professionals. Based on the presented data, theoretical and practical analysis, the study sheds light on underdeveloped areas in the support of professionals from supporting professions. Recommendations are provided, and significant trends, challenges, and opportunities in the sector of these professions are highlighted. These findings can serve as managerial, political, and practical reference points in the development of humanitarian activities, not only in a national context.
