Parental leave in the context of the draft of the amendment act to the Labour code and other certain bills

Summary/Abstract: The Work-Life-Balance Directive includes legal instruments which enable amore equal share of caring responsibilities and equal opportunities in the labour market. This issue is critical in the context of mothers who encounter problems in marrying family duties with profes-sional ones, which results in withdrawal from work. In the article, the author refers, among other, to the possibility of integrating parental leave with work, taking into account the parents of achild diagnosed with asevere and irreversible disability or an incurable life-threatening disease, which arose during the prenatal period of achild’s development or during childbirth
