Summary/Abstract: The aim of the study is to show to what extent interdisciplinary collaboration can help to solve complex textological questions. An example of such approach is illustrated in a problematic passage from the Didactic Gospel (Učiteľnoe evangelie), a set of 51 commentaries on the Sunday Gospel readings compiled by Constantine of Preslav. The help of philosophy and theology seems to be indispensable to resolving the textological problem.
