Summary/Abstract: Sustainable development policies encompass three general policy areas: economic, environmental and social. The projects of sustainable rural and regional development must be approached as an open system. Besides theory, which is prototype construction, research has an important applicative component of prototype simulation, offering multiple solutions for the rural development in Romania1.
