Summary/Abstract: Purpuse–Assessment of the degree of differentiation in the impact of voter turnout –as one of the measure of social capital –to the Nordic countries’ economic development stability. Methodology–The article present a regional –Nordic -perspective of analysing the implications of voter turnout for the economic development of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. The research methods in the article are: literature analysis, statistical comparative analysis and case study.Findings–The analysis confirmed that among the countries studied, the greatest disparity in national income occurred in Iceland and Finland, lower in Denmark and Norway, the least in Sweden. The results confirmed that there is no differentiation between the countries in terms of voter turnout. It has been confirmed that social capital is becoming an important tool for studying the socio-economic situation, which cannot be presented by other research methods, in this case based on voter turnout
