Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to explain the phenomenon of radicalization and mobilization of foreign terrorist fighters (FTF) from Central Asia fighting after 2011 on the territory of Syria and Iraq. The author tries to answer the following questions: (1) What is the level of terrorist threat in the Central Asian countries? (2) What are the reasons for the mobilization of the Central Asian FTF? (3) What kind of threats do the Central Asian FTFs pose after the destruction of the Islamic State?
