Analysis of the impact of environmental investments on greenhouse gas emissions in Romania and the EU

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this research paper is to analyze the relationship between investments in environmental protection and the evolution of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions at national(Romania) and European (European Union) level. Given the growing global concerns about climate change and the need to transition to a green economy, this research aims to contribute to the understanding of the effectiveness of financial measures dedicated to environmental protection in reducing GHG emissions.The data used in this study are collected from Eurostat and include information on the amounts invested in environmental protection projects and programs as well as data on annual GHG emissions. The analysis will cover a specific time period, subject to data availability, to assess long-term trends and correlations. This work is relevant for policymakers, researchers and the general public interested in environmental issues.
